    I'm not an APSE follower, but I was curious looking over the results. Does St. Pete not enter the section contest? Or do they enter but not win? That's a pretty freakin' good newspaper to not get recognition.

    They have winners in the writers divisions, so I'd assume they'd enter their sections. Don't know that for sure though.

    St. Pete has very good individual elements, but its sections tend not to stand out. Layout is plain, and there's little surprise or humor. Good group of people, though.

    large category columns are in. interesting in that 3 papers got 2 columnists each (Wash. Post, LA Times, Kansas City)
