End of an ERA

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Evil Bastard (aka Chris_L), Nov 26, 2011.

  1. Tom Glavine (or as I like to call him - Glavs) in his 1st big league season had an ERA of 5.54 and a record of 2-4.

21 seasons later he ended his career with a season record of 2-4 and an ERA of - you guessed it - 5.54.

Even if you took away his 1st and last seasons - Glavine would still have over 300 wins but for your last season at age 42 to be the same statistically as your first at age 21 is really cool.

What a historically interesting way for an end of a player's ERA!

Items like this would be great for an "online" diary or "web log."

I bet his handicap is lower, though.

This is shaping up as a pretty good thread if you're a stoner.
