He'll become a left-handed reliever and pitch for another 20 years

Consider who started the thread ... if a Yankee farts he takes a big whiff and decides it's huge news.

I think this is a pretty big story. We are talking about one of the greatest pitchers of all time; according to some of the advanced metrics the best ever.

God Manky, you scared me with your thread title. I thought something happened to Saraceno.

I'm a little disappointed with Saraceno. USA Today isn't printing his columns as often as they used to...I've pretty much quit reading the paper because of it. I think he needs to find a new outlet for his writing. Perhaps Grantland.

Apparently half the Eastern Seaboard female and between the ages of 26 - 19 can call him Jetes.

I very much doubt that. Jetes has always been about quality and not quantity, from what I can tell.

Baseball reference - Mariano Rivera is the all time leader in pitching WAR.

My bad. The name for the metric is Win Probability Added.

(I have no idea what that means)

You are so precious! Didn't he also lead the NBA in rebounding a couple times?

Speaking of which, I have always believed that Jeter could have had an all-star career in the NBA.

(ok i was just screwing with you there)
