There are two kinds of people in this world. People that like Empire Records and people that suck. ;D

    I can agree with that.

Love this movie the same way I love Armageddon (and, for at least one of the same reasons 8)).

Gawd, it's awful, and I say that as someone who saw it many, many times.

    Caricature, caricature, everywhere.

I'm a fan of Empire Records. Loved Rory Cochrane in Dazed, and then again in this one.

It's not a flick of greatness, by any means, but it is a fun watch.

I should also add that I've always loved me some Liv Tyler.

All of you "haters" suck. This was a good movie.

    (Jeebus...did I really say haters?)

Empire Records is fun. Can't believe there are so many people against it. I mean, it's not classic cinema or anything, but geez....

I really enjoyed the movie. Thought it was pretty fun and the soundtrack is great. It was 'High Fidelity' before Stephen Frears made his outstanding flick.

I'm probably a bit biased, though, since I was like 10 when I saw part of being filmed in Wilmington, N.C. Saw the scene where they chase the thief kid (Warren?) and a scene that I think was later cut where Rex, reflecting on what he has become, throws his belt in the water. They made him throw that damn belt like 20 times. I think he later got Tommy John surgery. :D

Yeah, BP, the kid's name was Warren.

So it's the Red Dawn of music-centric movies?
