Call me crazy (and you wouldn't be the first), but I love the elimination number on the MLB.com standings. I always love seeing those E's. It's weird, I know, but it's like a finality to a team's season. It's really over. They're done for.

So I figured we could all join in the fun and continue the elimination countdown.

    ELIMINATED:
    Tampa Bay
    Baltimore
    Chicago White Sox
    KC
    The Nats
    Florida
    San Francisco

    UP NEXT:
    Toronto - 1
    Texas - 1
    Oakland - 1
    Minnesota - 4
Houston - 7 (but a 3 in the Wild Card)
    Pittsburgh - 8 (4 in Wild Card)
    Atlanta - 8
    Seattle - 9

DOUBLE ELIMINATION (Eliminated from Division and Wild Card):
    Tampa Bay
    Baltimore
    Chicago White Sox

Kudos to the Pirates for sticking in there for this long. Who knew it was possible?

Well, they do play in the NL Central, but they have played well since the All-Star Break.

I don't know about you fine folks, but I'm rooting for the Nationals. The wild-card hopes are burning bright in D.C.

For the Rockies to still be in the hunt at all is great. They get the Dodgers and Padres this week so I figured I should write this post now!

Only in America, I mean, the NL Central, could Cincinnati still be alive. God bless the Central.
