Did any fan every say, "Oh shit. They've got Eli at QB."

    No, and no.

100 percent Hall of Famer. Two rings. Two Super Bowl MVPs. Played in New York. Last name Manning. All the stats.

    Lock.

He doesn’t have all the stats.

Was looking at his stats and I didn't realize he never won a playoff game that wasn't during his two title runs.

EDIT: Also, his career record as a starter was exactly .500 (117-117).

He’ll get in because of the rings. Should he get in is a different story.

Yes, they're inflated due to era. But 7th all-time passing yards, 7th all-time passing TDs. Top 10 in both, along with the other stuff, makes it easy.

There really isn't an argument if he's getting in or not. He's getting in.

He's not making it. Jim Plunkett has just as many rings and he's not in. Unlike the baseball Hall, the electorate is not New York-centric. The fairest summary of his career is that Eli Manning was an OK to slightly better than OK quarterback for most of a long career in which he had two superb playoff runs. That doesn't shriek Canton to me.

In 16 seasons (14 if you want to throw out last season and his rookie season), he made the playoffs six times.

He’s never, ever even been considered a top 5 QB in the league. Barely top ten.

No-fucking-brainer yes. Not because he was Brady or even in the same stratosphere but because he won 2 Super Bowls.

Without him the Patriots go 19-0.

In both of the Super Bowl wins he made plays that they will show for the rest of time.

And so on and so on ... and Yes, Eli Manning is a Hall of Famer.

How in the fuck did he not get sacked? Seriously.

And then THIS FUCKING THROW ...

I wonder if he'll be hurt by the five-year waiting period before his case is heard. He's seventh now in yardage and touchdowns, but will likely be 10th or even 11th by 2024. Roethlisberger (if he comes back), Rodgers and Matt Ryan will all pass him in 2021 or 2022, and Matthew Stafford has a shot if he can stay healthy for a few years.
