If Utley does win the MVP, would the Phils be the first team with three straight MVPs and zero playoff wins?

Can anybody explain what is wrong with Jose Reyes? Two HRs in a game is not his game, just as his latest faux pas in the infield aren't. I thought this was an untouchable, now I'm not sure.

(And spnited, can you say that Reyes current poor play is the fault of the manager?)

    Bring back Buddy Harrelson.

Is it possible that Reyes has a touch of Rafael Furcal-itis, where he's trying to hit a home run on every pitch of every at-bat?

I am not nearly the baseball mind that others here are. With that said, I think it can be suggested that perhaps the Mets just aren't as good a team as we all thought that they would be.

Beltran makes Kevin McReynolds look like Soupy Sales.

I have no idea what has happened to Reyes. Maybe soomebody we know, Casty, has a better hande on it.

And, no, Reyes' funk and Beltran's aloofness are not Willie's fault. But given the overall lack of fire that team has shown, the manager must be doing something wrong.
And if you read today's NY papers, you'll see NO player came to Willie's defense after yesteday's farcical meeting/presser.

Generally, sir, I agree with you.

In this case, though, you're wrong. Wright defended Willie yesterday.
