    4. Reporters meet deadlines.

Unfortunately, sometimes the deadline is about three minutes.

    11. Reporters are passionate communicators, excited to share stories with a wider audience. They also want to hear others’ stories.

    But only via Twitter. #modernjournalism

Maybe reporters on e-harmony are having a tough time getting dates? You know, because the internet dating world is a cesspool...

Nice crossthread. FWIW, I do think "reporter" has helped me land dates with 6s that I'd otherwise consider out of my league. I mean, it probably gets a more appealing off-the-cuff reaction than chartered accountancy. I think more issues develop as you get into relationships with people - The wonderfully low pay means your partner is the primary wage earner by default usually, which I imagine can be an antsy thing if you do want to start a family. Tough to do nowadays if the salary range for one person is around $25k to $50k, at best.

Warning: They may look startled as you go for end-of-date hug.

Especially if you whisper in her ear: "Just the tip? Just to see what it feels like?"

Most reporters are probably on OKCupid.

Everything I learned about journalism I learned from romantic comedies.
