  1. BREAKING: Egyptian court confirms DEATH SENTENCE for 21 people for role in deadly 2012 soccer riot.

"The 21 death sentences were passed on Jan. 28. Most of those condemned to death are fans of Port Said's Al-Masry club. The announcement led to protests in the city that some 40 people dead, most of them shot by police."
source: fox, cnn, all over the place.

Do you think that if someone commits murder they deserve to be killed themselves or should they just suffer in jail for the rest of their lives and be forced to live with the guilt?

Surely she's going to appeal the sentence.

It must have been the colorful dress she wore to court. She should have worn something black to show remorse.

She is going to appeal the sentence. And don't call her Shirley.

What makes you think they do or will feel guilty about killing others?

    Let's see ....

74 killed in the soccer riot.

21 condemned to death for their roles in the above.

40 people killed in riots in the aftermath of the verdict.

So that's at least 135 deaths or soon-to-be deaths over a soccer match.

And people from other countries rip us for cheering "USA, USA" at the Olympics.

Tough call. Sometimes I think extended suffering is more punishment than swift death.

Not for nothin', but the riot was more an act of sectarian/regional terrorism or political violence than it was simple hooliganism. A lot of Mubarak dead-enders among the 'Ultras' and the police - fighting supporters of the military and the recent reform parties.
