I used to enjoy watching The Equalizer in college. It got to the point where I once saw a Jaguar driving through a warehouse area near a T stop and thought to myself "Hey, it's The Equalizer!"

RIP. That was a great show....Robert McCall was a terrific character. And the show was also noteworthy for giving Billy Zabka, who played McCall's son Scott, his only significant non-douchebaggish role of the 1980s, if not ever.

One of my favorite shows. He was great in that role.

It is indeed a dark day in my shop, where an autographed photo of Edward Woodward is displayed prominently at my work station.

Woodward was an incredible, and vastly underrated, talent. Apparently, he was also a gifted singer.

First saw him in what remains one of my favorite movies, "Breaker Morant."

"The Equalizer" was cool back in the day.

I was gonna say, in reference to the ending of "The Wicker Man," he had a cool death scene in "Breaker Morant" as well: "Shoot straight, you bastards!!"

    A sublime talent. Again, RIP.

When I saw this this morning, I can only think of finishing my homework around 8:30 pm Central, throwing on my pajamas and sitting down in the TV room right up at 9pm to watch McCall take care of business and "equalize" the bad guys.
