Does it really count if it was said on the West Coast? Were most of us awake to read it?

My bad. May I face Clubber Lang without the 'Eye of the Tiger' as punishment.

Right after Rocky III, I somehow got a VHS copy of the movie without all the final music in it. The whole montage at the beginning set to "Eye of the Tiger" has "Another One Bites the Dust" instead. It's kind of cool to watch it. A few of the scenes are slightly different, too.

I love how in the rematch, Clubber's corner people are wearing cheap looking blue shirts with the words "Heavyweight Champ" on the back.

Clubber should have had a shot at regaining the title like Rocky did.

There used to be this TV show in Canada called "Bizarre," starring John Byner, and it had all kinds of outrageous skits and sketches. "Super Dave Osborne" was one of the regular bits, and it later got spun off into its own series, but I remember Mr. T being a guest on "Bizarre" not long after "Rocky III" came out. Super Dave's "stunt" that night was to insult Mr. T, calling him "Blubber Lang" and telling him he couldn't pick T out "in a room full of faggots."

Oh man, classic stuff. Like I said, outrageous. Naturally, because Super Dave's "stunts" always went horribly awry, Mr. T finally snapped and ate him alive. Literally!!!

EDIT: Amazing, I found the clip!!

Were genuine Saskatchewan steel skin bindings involved?

You mean seal-skin bindings. Because seals, of course, are perhaps Saskatchewan's best-known export product. :D

At any rate, I don't believe they were used in that particular episode but, as always, Super (his first name, apparently, and not an adjective) was interviewed by the famous Mike Walden.

No sign of Fuji Hakayito, however.
