    Yes but buying a ticket doesn't preclude one from also obtaining a press pass.

    That's perfect...lol. Either the higher ups see just how silly this demand is, or they don't pay a fee and you no longer have to worry about the college games taking up your time :)

    If I covered someone other than a scrub FBS, I'd have the paper buy me season tickets, file for press credentials via back channels, and scalp the tickets. Win-win.
