How can you even compare the two?

Roger has retired and come back. Roger waits until the season has started before deciding whether he will play, among other obvious differences.

Favre hasn't even begun to approach Rogerian proportions. He made his decision a month after the season, six months before training camp.

If I'm the Astros, I say fuck playing Roger's game and using the Sox and Yanks to bid up your price to pitch for 4 months. You get your ass out east or retire already.

Houston always makes a late run, but last year I'd say it was in spite of, not because of, the (Bottle) Rocket.

2.30 ERA, 102 Ks, 29 walks in 113 innings. The fact that the team managed a lousy 4.54 runs per game (which ranked 24th) had more to do with Clemens' 7-6 record than anything else. Please don't act like he pitched poorly even if you dislike him.

SB rings end up on EBAY, Edge ends up on an island retired with his millions.

There is no comparison at all between Farve and Clemens. Farve asked for a ridiculous amount of time before making up his mind last offseason. That's it.

Clemens has changed his mind over and over, asks for special treatment just to play and misses half the season.

Of course, Clemens has retained more of his excellence on the field than Farve, but off the field it's not close.

There's comedy, high comedy, unintentionally high comedy ... then Gigli. [/bostonsportsguy]

Ah, for 2001 and the old AOL site. Heck, even the daily links were funny reads.

You can't even begin to compare Favre and Clemens. The Rocket waits until some team with a chance of making the postseason is desperate, then spanks them for a special deal and lots of cash. Yeah, the numbers are great, but c'mon, if you're going to pitch then pitch at the start. Favre isn't close to what he used to be, but at least he tells the team he's coming back before the season actually starts.

    What gives you that idea?

And the Cardinals were considered by many to be a playoff team this year so, you know.......

He's quite right, you know. Green and Co. were more than a little bit let down that they didn't make a run. They thought they had the tools.

If seen them up close, James' teeth are not cool. Oral bling sucks.
