Eddie Murphy to star in Richard Pryor biopic

    Dreamgirls, lost to Alan Arkin's Little Miss Sunshine. Murphy was great in that movie. Wish he'd do more stuff - maybe do some indie projects. Pryor was genius, and difficult. How good it is will all depend on the script.

    Yeah, if Pryor had gone through a fat phase, this would have been a natural.

    I think they should go younger with the actor; although there might not be a good choice. I don't think Godfrey, Nick Cannon or anyone else could pull Pryor off.
    EDIT: Would Chappelle be able to pull this off?

    I'm still convinced that the ads for Norbit cost him the Academy Award.

    if pryor can pull off portraying murphy then he hands down deserves an oscar.
