    Momofuku Ando, the Japanese inventor of instant noodles — a dish that has sustained American college students for decades — has died. He was 96.

    During one of my internships where every cent I was making was covering rent, I ate ramen three times a day, almost every day for an entire summer... I existed on coffee, ramen and when I could afford it, PB&J...

    That's one thing I've never put in my mouth. PB&J three times a day? You bet. Ramen Noodles? Never.

    Water, noodles - what's not to love? Shrimp, beef and chicken flavors? hell yeah! I think I've got at least another good 70 years.
