    It's starting to look like Belgium is going to go the way of Yugoslavia before long. Or at least Czechoslovakia.

    On another subject, it would have been interesting to have seen what kind of relations a separate Quebec would have with Canada. Or the United States.

    Perhaps, though Basques are Europe's Kurds. Spain and France don't cotton to their separatism, especially Spain which has seen years of ETA bombings. I know Catalans have been pining for independence for nearly a century.

    All I know is Ireland is for the Irish!

    Basques alone would be fine, but there's also Catalan, Galician, Navarran, and Andalucian separatists to deal with.

    Of course, maybe it'd help if Spain had an anthem worthy of the name....
