Earliest deadlines

Apparently there's an ice storm forecast for our area tomorrow. And in the past, any sort of ice has caused our shitty power grid to completely shut down.

To avert that problem, the powers-that-be (pun intended) have decided to push our deadline to 4:30 p.m.

Christ, that's even earlier than our holiday deadlines.

So, I ask you all, what's the earliest weather-related deadline you've ever had?

 

6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
Worst weather-related deadline was 7 p.m.

 

I can't remember us ever going in earlier than 9:30 p.m.

 

Hery, I'm just wondering what you're earliest deadline is. And our's is usually pushed back an hour at the most.

 

At a paper I worked at in a town in Virginia, where the power went out when it drizzled, we once had a 1 p.m. deadline for the CHANCE of a storm. The storm never hit us. That was hilarious in my eyes since I'm from the north and am just used to driving in bad weather.

 

Our agate guy, who is terrified of snow, once had the agate page done by 3:30 p.m. I hadn't even gotten to work yet.

 

Once a year we have an extra 50K run for Newspapers in Education.

That launch this year was on an NFL Sunday. At 7:30 p.m.

 

That is absolutely unreal. Earliest I've had is 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All weather-related deadline changes seemed to be by one hour at the most.

 

4 p.m., and that was because of problems with the press.

 

Shit. I meant to say normal deadline, not earliest.

 

That's easy, too.

Mon-Fri: 10:30-12-12:30.
Sat: 11-12:30-1.
Sun: 9:50-11:20-11:50-12:10.
