EA Sports NCAA Football frustration

I've been playing NCAA '05 for a while now, doing the dynasty mode and simulating all the games. But something keeps creeping up and it's annoying...

Every time I do a dynasty, three teams in particular -- Rice, North Texas and TCU -- always seem to ascend to consistent national title contention after about five years. What gives? They're all in crappy conferences, although they do recruit in Texas, which obviously has a bevy of great players. Anyone else see this, or something like it?

Also, as an aside, I played Ohio U. for the national title about 11 seasons in. Again, what gives? Ohio?

No wonder UNT canned Dickey. Obviously he was underachieving. ::)

By the way, frustration is not having NCAA Football for the PC.

Actually, I stopped buying EA sports games for the PC when I got Madden 99. It's been all PS2 since then.

Why don't you just pony up and get NCAA 07?

Hey, I took Princeton to four straight national championships in NCAA '05 (and won two Heismans).

That was after 3 years of .500 records while building up my roster, a couple recruiting violations and one probation.

Then I was invited to join the Big Ten. They wanted to drop Northwestern for me. ;D
