3 1st round draft choices in the bottom half of the draft won't get you too much. They should have traded Howard to Kentucky

They were over the salary cap and luxury tax.

    PG - Nash
    SG - Kobe
    SF - World Peace
    PF - Gasol
    C - Howard

    Bench: Jamison, Blake, Jordan Hill

That is a scary fucking team if the health holds up.

Excellent point PC. The Lakers again have themselves a front-line center, Angelinos' precious little Kobe-poo will win a sixth ring, the media will kiss his ass every step of the way and give him all the credit, and we'll be blessed with yet another season of, "Who's better, Michael or Kobe?" when in reality, it will be the center who makes the difference.

The pick from the Lakers will suck. They other two likely won't be too bad.

I think the biggest risk here is Philly's, but there's a solid upside there too. It all depends on whether they can keep Bynum. I'm guessing they will.

Jim Buss, who has hinged his entire career as Lakers "owner" based on him "finding:" Bynum, is rolling over somewhere in Cabo or Sicily and doesn't know why.

The obvious weak link is that head case at small forward.

Elbow to the head case, IIRC.

I think the Lakers hosed everybody with this deal.

I don't understand why Philly made this deal.

You give up a first round pick, you give up your first round pick from this past draft and you trade your top player to get Bynum for a year and Jason Richardson??

Bill Simmons probably cut his London Olympics trip short so he could fly home and do a 10-part podcast on the trade.
