Same here. Just re-catalogued my DVDs last month and I'm up to about 170. Haven't paid more than $13 for any of them, and get most for about $7-10 on half.com.

Fine choice. It was on Starz earlier today.

    Sirs, Madames,

I have 300+. I try to cover the classics (The Third Man, Breathless) and a few of my favorite actors' best. Priority is a nice list of extras.

Mrs FotF thinks I watch Zodiac a little too much (extras are excellent). Ditto Gimme Shelter, The Twilight Zone, Rockford (the latter no extras alas). Other than those I think the one in the last year I've watched and enjoyed most is Ace in the Hole, Kirk playing a down-on-his-luck, thinks-he's-a-hotshot reporter. Billy Wilder directs. Dark, dark stuff. Gave birth to the phrase "media circus."

And Richard Harris in This Sporting Life. Brutal early 60s kitchen-sink drama with RH as a ruthless rugby player, one of filmdom's great bastards and physically completely legit, coulda been a pro.

sadly not on DVD (Gleason, McQueen)

    Taste of Honey

sadly not available in North American DVD format

Nope, never seen it anywhere for less than $12.99 and I am not paying that for a movie that is 25 (holy shit) years old.

If I could get it cheap, I would. Because I'm, well, cheap.

Thanks IJAG, I am going to buy the 3.26 DVD from a non-smoking home, though I am not sure why that was on there.
