Saw one pop up on our site a while back with something about a girl who "beat off muggers with a baton." I couldn't change it fast enough.

 

This one has come up on this site many times, but there is a small town across the river from Natchez, Miss., called Waterproof, La. At some point in the Jim Crow days, there appeared a headline reading:

"Two Waterproof Negros Drown"
