Yep. Pens' championships came on SportsChannel. Victory to the soothing sounds of Jiggs McDonald.

Shit Columbus is in the Western Conference, and Pittsburgh (about an hour, hour-and-a-half east) is in the Eastern Conference.

I think they have the teams divided evenly and the Easternmost teams are in the East and everybody else is in the West, even if it's stupid.

I don't watch hockey, and I SURE as shit don't watch the Sports Reporters.

I just saw in our TV listings that the WC playoffs involved Detroit. I did a double-take.

    Aye, 'tis true.

At least the NHL alignment makes geographical sense --- as opposed to, say, Dallas being in the NFC East, Atlanta in the old NL West, and so on and so on.

    Uh, you sure about that?

I'm pretty sure Minnesota is not "Northwest" like Vancouver, Colorado, Edmonton and Calgary, the Wild's so-called division rivals

    I.....I......

I don't know what to say to that.

Okay, how about being close to the same time zone as your division opponents. Does that work? :p :p

Toronto used to be in the Western Conference.

    Go figure.

Sorry, did I get this right? NBC cut away from OT for Preakness coverage?
