The child is his adopted son. Hell can't be bad enough for this guy.

And to think that Mike Nifong isn't involved with this matter makes me feel confident that there will be no fuck-ups this time.

I want to cry - I can't fathom that someone would do this to a child.

He will get his in jail.

It should probably be noted in the context of SportsJournalists.com, that the suspect is not an official of the Duke athletic department.

Was hoping it was Coach K.

It should also be noted, as was not in the AP story, that the african-american child in question was the adoptive child of a homosexual couple. Why was this not mentioned? I also wonder if 88 members of the Duke faculty will sign a condemnation of Lombard, even before he has his day in court.

So what's your point? Gay couples shouldn't adopt? Shouldn't adopt African American kids? Please don't keep us guessing, what should the rule be?

My point is that this is important information in the story. If you say this is not important information you are being dishonest.

    I agree with Carlton.
Editors shouldn't pick and choose what's included in a story of this nature.
That sort of info is obviously necessary.
It has nothing to do with "rules for adoption."
We're talking about telling the "whole story."

So if the couple was heterosexual it should have been included in the story? Or are you saying that only a gay couple would do something like this?

    Explain.
