Unfortunately, our posts don't go back that far, but on a non-journalism message board, I wrote on April 19, 2006: "As for the truth, it would not surprise me either way. I think I'll reserve judgment until the case is over."

How this story was played was not my call and I don't remember what we did, except that it was A-section and we were several days late to the party. I'd have played it right down the middle.

 

Frank....I'm sure you would/did, I'm asking about the coverage in general. It was hardly fair and balanced, and some journalists seem generally upset that a woman wasn't raped that night....they wanted the "white privileged kids" to get theirs.
