Anyone who thinks there are valid comparisons to be made between players from different eras based on statistics isn't paying close enough attention. Every era has had characteristics that make it distinct from every other era, whether it by the dead ball, the higher mound, segregation or smaller ballparks. Just a poorly considered argument.

Also, Albert77, Rice wasn't the the most feared hitter of his generation. He was very, very good good and he was overdue to get into the HOF but there were a handful of others who were better -- Mike Schmidt, George Brett, Dale Murphy, Dave Winfield, among them.

You don't even need truth serum if you're on a college campus. College kids aren't going to be ashamed of the fact that they smoke weed, just like they aren't ashamed that they participate in underage drinking and buying alcohol for minors.

Weed = beer in the mind of the average college kid, and the occasional toke is nothing to apologize for.

Dude won eight golds. He wants to toke a bit, that's his deal. What more does he owe anyone? Judgemental pricks.
