One problem... Barry doesn't want it.

What's this guy's MySpace say? Is he an avid traveler with no real heroes? I demand to know! I need justice!

News anchors have got to stop saying he's on his way to Australia this morning. Unless he's lined up a private jet, the guy's not flying out until tonight (at the earliest) with the rest of the shlubs.
United and Quantas both leave around 10 pm from SFO and LAX. The guy's probably either sleeping it off, consulting with lawyers or postponing his flight.

How come you guys haven't mentioned he's a Mets fan from Queens?

    Damn anti-East Coast bias.

Draw some asterisks on it, then donate it to the Hall of Fame.

According the AP story, the fetch won't be near as much as you might think ...

    http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-bonds-ball&prov=ap&type=lgns

"Baseball memorabilia experts have pegged the ball's value at $400,000 to $500,000. That's well below the $3.3 million fetched by Mark McGwire's 70th home run ball in 1998."

    Experts can be wrong, too

The fact is it depends on whether two people get into a bidding war over it. I don't expect it to go for as much as the McGwire ball, but all it takes is two people with a lot of money to burn.

  12. I'd be happy with $500K
