For those of you interested, you can email Ken Solomon, the Tennis Channel CEO with your support at ksolomon@thetennischannel.com.

You can also email John Varley, the CEO of Barclays -- the title sponsor --with comments at john.varley@barclays.com.

Also... I believe he didn't do anything until it became a news item.

Nice move by The Tennis Channel. Still not a single player has withdrawn over this. I guess none of them have ever suffered from any type of discrimination.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
    Then they came for me
and there was no one left
    to speak out for me.

That's because you are a bitter ass.

That there is not one player who has dropped out is shocking.

In a sport where the 2 greatest heroes were champions not only on the court but in Civil Rights, Arthur Ashe and Billy Jean King, today's players have no understanding the legacy of those players. Maybe the Russian, Polish, Ukranian and Romanian women don't understand, but are there no Americans in the field who would withdraw, if not for the Israeli, but to honor the legacy of Ashe and King?

I'm not bitter at all, Simon, but you are an ass.
I am cynical and I never expect the modern athlete to care about anything or anyone but him/herself.
And, sorry abbott, players might pay lip service to the legacy of Billie Jean King and Arthur Ashe but they do not have any sense of responsibility to that legacy.

It's a shame that Venus and Serena aren't in this tournement, they certainly understand the legacy of hatred and discrimination

Don't act like athletes are the only people who, in the vast majority, care more about themselves than others.

    Still, this an egregious occurrence.

The PGA Tour is not there. The European Tour is.

As a group, there are no more privileged, self-entitled, selfish, spoiled, rotten brats than tennis players. They make PGA Tour players look humble in comparison.
