Yeah. I hope J.K. Rowling got a patent on it and can sue Amazon, or at least put a nasty spell on Bezos.

True. They'll be piled up all across the country.

How much does it cost to mount a drone?

I think you probably have it right.

Most of the speculation yesterday was that Bezos gave 60 Minutes access for a Sunday night show the night before Cyber Monday. ... and by giving Charlie Rose that "exclusive," he ensured that everyone would be talking about Amazon on Cyber Monday.

    It was marketing.

From stuff I was reading yesterday, the FAA is a long way away from approving commercial drones. So he probably knows it is pie-in-the-sky stuff for now. But he made a splash and got the company some serious attention.

The NIMBY problem with this idea is prohibitive. Quiet suburban neighborhoods chock-full of Amazon orderers will revolt over noise issue, not to mention the malfunctioning drone through the roof issue.

He said in the second or third paragraph that it was years away, but this will happen someday.

Imagine in 2000 trying to explain an Iphone to someone and what it can do.

3-D printing will be here long before these Amadrones take to the sky.

Before or after we all have the flying cars that were predicted back in the 1950s?
