Driving age reform?

    Kentucky is 15 permit, 16 license. Or it was when I got my license there.
     
  2. That's what it is in Illinois, as well. Although, IIRC, the state either was trying or had passed a law limiting the driving of licensed teens.

    So if you can get your permit at 15 in Kentucky, that means you can only legally drive when your kid's grandparents are in the car with you, right? :)

    Thanks to a weird midwestern law designed to aide people who worked and lived on farms, my girlfriend in high school started driving at 14.

    You'd have thought that would have given her a head start by the time she was 16. As it is, at a recent class reunion I informed her that she is my reason for believing the minimum driving age should be 18.

    Shit, by the time the parent's 15, the kid's nearly 4.
