I just checked, it appears to be still in operation (but it has been threatened with shutdown)

I think for BearShare I pay something like $40-50 for a year. Can't remember the exact figure.

Where are all these weird rumors about www.allofmp3.com coming from?

They're not shut down, and I use an AmEx card to pay for all my purchases there. I just bought 12 songs for $1.80 last night.

I used eMule for awhile, but it hasn't been working lately...

What torrent sites work the best?

  8. Mac users ... might want to consider www.acquisitionx.com.

I've seen more clutter on the gnutella networks lately, though.

    $30/month for 10 songs?!

Sorry Pern. Fixed. I think it's $10 for 30 each month.

Anyway, it's not worth it to me. It's more of a site dedicated to indy bands and those getting off the ground. I'm not that "into" music to know what's good, what's not and who will or won't be good.

Buddy of mine has it, got the numbers from him. But he corrected me, $10 for 30 songs.
