Very interesting. Go to your comics section and check it out.

He does it regularly, and it's a good thing.

My lame-ass local 125K fishwrapper deleted the first two frames, though.

Trudeau's site is down, but here's some free traffic to the WaPost site for those who want to view it online.

He has done this on previous Memorial Days...

Many Sunday comics use the first two panels as a throwaway joke or a setup for the plot that can be pruned if there's no room. I'm guessing that's what happened here.

Any effort to humanize this cluster is fine by me. Too bad that over the years, Trudeau has gone from Nolan Ryan to Hoyt Wilhelm, fastball-wise.

    Dools --

I agree about Trudeau's consistency, buy maybe not his fastball.

He can still bring it, on occasion, just not every day.

Slap a copy of that and Opus on every desk in the White House and Congress.

The fishwrapper always does that. Anything to save room for the ads they jam into the funnies.

He remains consistent. While well-aware that the present administration is comprised largely as sonsabitches and worse, he's 110% behind the boys. It's anything but inconsistent. It's
the view shared by the vast majority of domestic thinking humanity.

    I agree.

No idea if WaPost will let me do this ...

Sorry, Ben, if there was confusion.

I meant consistently brilliant, like Doonesbury was for so many years.

Now it's sometimes brilliant, sometimes good, sometimes subpar.

Not really his fault, though, as he set the bar very, very high.
