    Hmmmm. Bad decision-making and a shaky memory of the incident. I can't imagine why that happened.

    I wouldn't put too much faith on what anyone says to police right after a car wreck. After mine, which is just a minor in-town thing, I kept insisting I had turned in front of the guy and it was my fault, when in actuality he had flown through an intersection into me as I was going straight across.

    Imagine how much more confused you would have been if you had been drinking before getting behind the wheel that day.

    Usually when you flash your lights, that's a signal that "I see you, go ahead."

    There is no excuse for him hitting the guy if he had time to flash his lights.
