    Hey, I'm from his home state and it is just ridiculous on how much of a free-ride he gets for the minimal work he does in Congress for the area.

    I can see the argument for Clinton and Edwards getting an "incumbent" bounce because they've been national political figures for a while, and Obama is really just getting started in introducing himself. That's why he needs triple the money of anyone else. As the great Fred "Gopher" Grandy said about his own political career, at least 75 percent of the money you spend is just to get people to remember your name, and thanks to being Gopher, that gave him a 75 percent lead on everybody he ran against.
