Don't like your kid? Leave 'em in Nebraska

Safe haven laws, which allow parents to leave unwanted babies at hospitals without fear of prosecution, are being abused in Nebraska, where there's no age limit and where parents are leaving unwanted teenagers at hospitals.

Makes me wonder how that works with a teenager. Do you just tell them "Don't come home and don't call," or what, because if my parents had tried that, I'd have just told the police my address and asked for a ride home. If the kid pisses you off, do you tell them "You behave, or I'll leave at St. Mary's!"

I'm going to use it in a game story.

The Podunk Plodders seemed to have the victory wrapped up, until running back Timmy Smith fumbled in the fourth quarter. His third fumble of the game.

Smith likely will be on the next slow bus to Nebraska.
