    Didn't this "feud" all come about after some dispute they had when Carson wanted to buy into the Aladdin casino in vegas but Newton got it instead?

    Either way, it's definitely not news. I've seen Newton talk about this many times.

    I knew Wayne Newton was gay the minute he hit on Mrs. Griswold in "Vegas Vacation" and didn't follow through.

    I always thought the feud had to do with Carson making fun of Newton's alleged mob ties. Apparently, according to the THS they had on him, Newton was dealing with some threats to his family and he contacted some kind of mob figure for advice and/or help in dealing with it. Then reports came out of him contacting this guy and everyone jumped to conclusions.
