    How are we going to have a grown-up discussion if people are going pretend to be aghast every time Dick uses the word in a perfectly acceptable way?

    I just think it's interesting that the word in question seems to be on the minds of those denouncing its use more than anyone else's.

    They are quick to put that word in others' mouths, but the only mouths I hear it coming from are theirs.

    I'm not surprised people pretend to be oblivious to the racism that has spewed from conservative circles for eight years, either. They might otherwise feel compelled to do something about it.

    Except that when asked to show examples of said racism you're left to only quote those who claim to be so enlightened.
