I don't know why the Vick story is getting so much press compared to a league whose intergrity as a league is at stake.

No wonder we can't win in the olympics. They're reared to play in a joke of a league.

Looks like they needed to look in house. I knew the league was a joke when a good friend of mines constructed their long awaited HR department as recently as 5 years ago. Now that says alot about an organization.

I don't know about many of you but I've felt the league was rigged since All Star weekend 88'.

Is anybody surprised he'd do this? Odds are he's not the only guy but given what I've read about him it's not too hard too think this guy would make shit up to save his ass.

Wow, Donaghy apparently is going to reveal the shocking news that as many as 20 other officials go to race tracks and casinos!


The offenses might not include any criminal activity, but could draw the ire of NBA commissioner David Stern, who has insisted the Donaghy situation was that of a "rogue, isolated criminal."
A report on 1050 ESPN Radio in New York said Donaghy will give prosecutors as many as 20 names of other NBA officials and will detail their involvement in some form of gambling activity. The specifics of the gambling allegations are reportedly believed to include betting in casinos.

Hopefully, that'll be the spin used to protect whatever semblence of credibility the league has left. But if their gambling ties into the outcome of NBA games, the shit is going to hit the fan.

So much for the parrotted "lack of fundamentals" and other crap being the blame for the leagues downfall.

No wonder our players lose in the olympics. They don't have fixed refs to the degree the league does.

You can't tell me that the players today aren't reared to play NBA styled ball. Now if it shows that games were controlled by factors other than their abilities, obviously it would hinder them when playing games outside of the leagues tainted rules.

Sorry, but this opens the door for people to cherry pick. I never gave all of the other garbage thrown around for the leagues decline. I always disliked Sterns methods. Pouring all of his resources into one player for over 10 years, marrying the game to hip hop only to turn off his fanbase, and now this.

He really needs to go.
