Could've gotten 33 months. I guess he got off easy.

Sounds about right. He'll be out in probably about nine months.

I'm still waiting for this story to get the attention it deserves.

He'll get time off for reffing games in the clink.

Fifteen months is about the right amount of time to write a book and line up some speaking engagements warning young athletes about the dangers of gambling.

What are the laws about profiting from a crime? I thought that would rule out a book. I hope not though. I want this guy to throw David Stern under the bus.

I was thinking that too. How long till he gets a book deal? I predict a very interesting read and puckered behinds in NBA offices

  7. Yes, because David Stern turned this guy into a degenerate gambler.

More bluster from Mizzou, no actual insight.

And he'll make calls in favor of the team that provides him the most protection.

He pointed his finger in a number of useful, constructive directions for the prosecution.

He got a break. Inherent deal, here.

Donaghy's lawyer said that he and Donaghy were happy with the leniency shown by the judge in the case.

I wonder if that's because Donaghy had the UNDER on a 20-month sentence?

    Is this federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison?

    Donaghy got off super-easy.
I guess when organizers and officials get caught gambling on sports, it gets sort of swept under the rug.

More reason to believe that pro sports and Vegas are affiliated.
