Reilly's column on the book this week is one of the best thing's he's written in a while I thought. Made me want to go out and get the book.

Just read the excerpt in SI.

    Crystal meth, feh!
The stuff about his dad was incredible.

His dad. Steffi's dad. Jim Brown.

    Great piece.

The thing I most disappointed in is his lying about his failed drug test. Somehow, however a dickhead he was, I thought he wouldn't stoop to that. Then again, as Ms. qtlaw said, "he was on meth, so what do you expect?"

I'm going to check his teeth a little more carefully now.

I wonder who really wrote this book. That's some damn fine writing in SI.

Thanks, I should read the whole thread next time! "The Tender Bar" guy. That explains it.

Ah, Agassi and Brooke Shields in the Glory Days.

The ONE line I was especially proud of as a TV sports highlight jockey...

At Wimbledon. Agassi wins the first set of some match and then loses three in a row.

"From Suddenly Susan to suddenly losin'..."

(Thank you, I'll be here all week. Make sure to tip your waitstaff...)

Does the book mentioned the story Brooke once told about how Andre had a picture of Steffi in a Bikini on their fridge at home...as a not-too-subtle reminder for Brooke not to eat too much?

So, now we know 25 percent of the book will detail Moehringer's own father-less childhood. I hope the other 75 percent is good.

I thought Brooke was the one who put the photo on the fridge.
