Dog Obedience Training

I have decided to take a dog obedience training class with my 7-month-old Blue Heeler. I have a Petco & Petsmart that are both close to home. Has anyone ever taken classes with them? Is one store's class better than the other? Are they all about the same? Or would I be better served by taking a class at a local kennel?

Just wanted to get some feedback from people who have done this before I sign up for something.

Call both. Ask for the trainer's qualifications and certifications.
"We trained 'em" isn't good enough.

No one else has any advice here? I have never done anything like this before and don't even know what questions to ask. I do know I want it to be a in a class setting and not one-on-one training. I want him to learn to interact with other dogs. Outside of that, I'm clueless.

As long as neither place has these people there...
