    I work for a school division and Facebook is a nightmare for HR.

    Look, there is Sally's 1st grade teacher and she/he is doing what at that beach?

    Do you mean infringing on their free speech in spirit or by law? Because, by law, the First Amendment only applies to government infringement of free speech. An employer can legally discipline you for opining that you prefer cheddar over Swiss.

    But I think you meant infringing as a matter of principle.

    To me, all this does is give a vindictive employer or boss, like the one I had in my last days in the newspaper business, another weapon to discipline or fire you.
