Any gay man I know would've done his best to help. Some people are just assholes.

Headbutt, if IJAG's guidelines aren't applicable, then there's no help for those idiots.

I've helped in situations like this. I also got help from a couple of complete strangers out of a snowbank. Stuff like that comes around ... hopefully, those who wouldn't help find out how your friend felt.

When the guy, who's already demonstrated that he's an ass, comes back out and asks her to hurry up, I guarantee you I would have had a smart-ass answer back at him, something along the lines, "Well, @(*&^!, since you wouldn't come out and give me a hand. I'm doing the best I can. I think it's going to take me at least another hour to get this done, maybe two if I have to call my third half-brother's cousin to come and help me, maybe three if I give up and have to call AAA."

If she had AAA, it would have been worth it to call them out. The operator would have said "you're at a gas station??" And then when the driver got there (taking up more precious space at this station), the clerk could have gotten mad at him too, at which point the AAA guy would have put the clerk on the hook and towed him away.

Not before clobbering the guy with a tire iron helping Headbutt's friend.

I suck at doing car maintenance shit. The only thing I could do successfully on a non-Escort is MAYBE add windshield wiper fluid.

Even so, I would have at least tried to help her. Some people just fail at life.
