By the way, have we all seen this about the Rudy that America loves? It is the America that allowed all five of his uncles to get out of World War II, that allowed him six draft deferments, and that included his father going to prison for a robbery conviction and his uncle being a loan shark.

Just a good law-abiding family, really.

I suggest you read a bit more into the history of countries like Chile, Iran, El Salvador, Guatemala, amongst plenty others. We have a long sordid history of helping overthrow democratically elected governments and installing and/or backing the worst sort of brutal repressive dictatorships when it suits our political or economic interests.

Those are the chapters of US history that the rest of the world grows up learning about but somehow get omitted from our own textbooks. Which is why the rest of the world scoffs when flag wavers like yourself start spewing the red, white and blue rhetoric about us being all about spreading peace, democracy and freedom.
