    Willingham was fired for less the year before his stud recruiting class reached its potential. If Weis isn't fired, I'll be suspicious.

    Further evidence as to why Weis insists they "have a chance to be really good next year."

    Notre Dame shouldn't even return Nevada or Connecticut's phone call, much less schedule them.

    UConn won a share of a BCS conference title last year, is solid again this year and is another way to play a game in New Jersey or the Boston area. It's done for alumni/recruiting reasons. I have less of a problem with that game than Nevada, which is a sham.

    Notre Dame has proved it can't beat the crap teams (read: Syracuse in South Bend). So Nevada by no stretch is a gimme, either.

    Are there that many good players in that area? If they want to do some recruiting, play Ohio State, Florida or Miami or a Texas team.
