Did they even get 100 yards today?

If this team goes to a bowl, they go to 6-7.

He came in with all that arrogance, toward media and fans. His signature game is an almost-win against USC. He has done nothing with "his" recruits. It would be appropriate and satisfying for him to receive his comeuppance, for both media and those who root, root, root for old Notre Dame. The fans also think that the right coach can overcome location (climate) and the high academic standards and bring glory back to South Bend.

The clamor will only get louder. He will be asked to leave. And they'll bring in someone else who also will not be able to buld a consistent winner in a freezing town with challenging academic requirements.

He did his winning with Ty's recruits.

What assurances can Weis give that next year will be different?

Yeah, I mean, who can compete in South Bend.
I mean, you actually have to go to class and you don't get to hang out in the surf and sun with hot co-eds. Gasp!

Students at Notre Dame have to do more than just go to class. The curriculum itself is more demanding than most with similar athletic expectations.

In any event, the current reality of college athletics is not something that makes me happy.

But it is the current reality.

Is that what a decided schematic advantage means?

Is the climate in South Bend that much worse than Columbus or State College?
