    It was for about three years in the mid-1990s. Under other circumstances it might have been a good logo. It was not, however, better than the old logo and the Islanders quickly abandoned the Gorton's fisherman.

    Fishsticks covered in Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup was one of my mom's favourites.

    I'm tempted to make them sometime.

    If I recall correctly it was so universally unpopular that they wanted to abandon it almost immediately but the league wouldn't let them because the NHL had a three-year minimum requirement on logo changes.
