Saw it recently. It's a pretty decent entertainment, but a lame mystery. You knew where the movie was going to end up, and whether the lead character would get the girl or not. Most of the twists were easy to figure out. Really, the most suspense was how undressed the female love interest would eventually get (not far enough, I'm guessing most guys would think, and it is rated PG-13).

But she and LeBouf had some good chemistry, tho she was easily the most compelling character. Robert Morse was disappointingly wan as the psycho. The mother and the best friend were little more than ciphers.

I think this movie shows that Hollywood doesn't know how to make a good thriller without the extreme, high-tech gore that stuff like Saw, Hostel, etc., have.

    I'll stick with 'Rear Window.'

Good call. And the movie tried to make you think he could be getting "stir-crazy," because the court officer mentioned that possibility in the beginning. But LeBouf never made such a possibility believable.

It's David Morse. He'll give you a scowl and grumble for getting his name wrong.

Shit, I knew that. It's from being old that I know Robert Morse. At least I didn't say Samuel Morse.

David Morse was much better as the detective trying to put House in jail.

I saw it yesterday. The ending kinda' sucked, but all in all, I actually thought the movie was pretty damn good(but then again, I'm one of those guys who thinks every movie is great. :D ).

    P.S. David Morse is crazy.
