    End of thread.

There is nothing more disgusting than lutefisk. (My mom and my dearly-departed grampa are going to revoke my Scandinavian heritage, but I don't care!)

It's fish cooked in LYE for pete sake!

  2. Lye? Jeez, don't you guys have manure in your neck of Scandinavia ... sounds like it would be healthier.

We save the manure for the fields.

I never have, nor will I ever, eat lutefisk.

    :D

I just woke my dog with how hard I was laughing on that one, Slappy.

  7. Are you sure mom didn't feed it to you before you knew to ask what it was? My mom did that to me with Spam (yech) and chicken liver (mmmm, chicken liver) and I did that with my kid (calimari) she loves that stuff.

Not sure if she would knowingly eat Squidward, though she doesn't mind knowingly eating Wilbur.

Okra is another big thing down here. I have never had it and I refuse to try it. It sounds extremely gross.

  10. It's fine. Just like eating squash or eggplant, except it's usually fried in tasty seasoning. Really nothing to fear.

But I don't like squash or eggplant, so maybe I do have something to fear.

What is it about the South and frying everything, anyway?

I know for certain I have never eaten the stuff. Did I mention it stinks really bad too?
