  1. I could see how you could get your goatee and a beaver confused ...

I was reminded of this thread today when I was flipping through my onscreen cable guide and saw the listings for FSN Northwest.

Their OSU news show: "Beaver All-Access"

    Now that's comedy.

Oh, I get it: Beaver = vagina. That's funny.

As some of you know, I went to Cocke County High School in Tennessee, home of the Fighting Cocks.

Fortunately, the womens' sports teams are simply known as the Lady Red, v. Lady Cocks.

Yup, and it strikes me that there was a reason why that decision was made.

Same reason some question the use of Beavers with women's teams.

I'll bet if you asked 1,000 women in a random survey about "cock" they would know what it is or implies.

Ask the same 1,000 about "beaver" and they would not get the "dirty" implication.

Lady Beavers? No big deal. If you don't like that name, don't use it. Just use the school name.

  11. When I was 13 my grandpappy told me thats what ladies' nether regions were like, Said it was something painful that cuts off your weiner. Something that would grab a hold of ya and never let ya go. Said I should steer clear of 'em. I've done as you said grandpappy!
