My go-to spaghetti sauce is now the one featured from Donatelli's in suburban MSP

The host is really annoying. I can't stand him.
I'm usually 50-50 on the places they show. About half of the seem to be nothing special or used pre-preapred ingredients, etc. About half of them I think: that seems like a good place.

    I ate here:

    http://www.meltbarandgrilled.com/

It was featured. My buddy saw it. It was top notch.

    Buckhead Diner in Atlanta.

Order the grilled cheese or a tuna melt and have a slice of banana creme pie.

We must live in different universes.

Feta cheese around here is about as ubiquitous as Kraft Cheese silces.

And our relationship to food has sunken so low that we consider real cooking to be "complex"?

I've seen dozens of shows and although a lot ot them look like great places for simple but fresh food, I've seen more than my share of frozen fries . You can spot them a mile away

The only thing that matters about cooking is whether it tastes good. QP with C? Yummy every time. On the other hand, I've spent sizable bucks on fancy crap, too.

All I know is that Guy Fieri is eventually going to end driving one of those fat man's vans.

Why am I seeing him more often on TV?
What kind of people are responding positively to him?

Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City, Kan. The best barbecue in KC, hands get. Get the burnt ends or the Z-Man, which is a beef brisket with onion rings.

Oh, and Oklahoma Joe's shares the same building as a gas station.

The Varsity = HUMONGOUSLY overrated. My god. Go because you have to go. But don't go because you pretend lukewarm food, smushy fries and flat soda is some sort of great food.
